'Kedagang' (family Araceae) is an ornamental variety of bucephalandra, originating from the island of Kalimantan (Indonesia). The "Japan" variant usually refers to selected forms bred or adapted by Japanese aquascapers. It is characterized by narrow, oblong leaves with a metallic sheen, wavy edges and a bronze-green hue. Young leaves may have a purple or purple tint. The plant is compact (5-10 cm high), slow-growing. It develops best in low or moderate light, with CO₂ supply and clean water. If there is an excess of light, spot algae may appear. Prefers soft, slightly acidic water. It is recommended to attach to rocks or driftwood. When planting in the substrate, it is important not to bury the rhizome.
