Pogostemon helferi (Latin Lamiaceae) – although scientists have known about this plant for a long time, lovers of aquatic species discovered it only a few years ago. This plant was discovered by aquarists in Southeast Asia. In Thailand, it is called "Downoi" (little star), and it is easy to understand why (5-10 cm in height and width). An unusual aquatic plant with compact growth, curly leaves. With good lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate, it forms many lateral shoots that develop small roots, and the plant quickly forms an impressive carpet of foreground vegetation. Due to its unusual leaf shape and texture, it is a popular foreground plant.
