15.11.2024 - 24.11.2024 From November 15 to 24, 2024, from 11:00 to 17:00, the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will traditionally host the exhibition pavilion of the Indian chrysanthemum "Flower of the Sun"! The exhibition will feature more than 80 varieties of Indian chrysanthemum. Chrysanthemum flowers have many different shapes, from simple daisies (Aglow, Biarrita, Solo) to multi-petal pompoms (Gazelle, Tom Pearse). You will be delighted by the different sizes of inflorescences: large-flowered Amber Lady and Anastasia, medium-flowered and small-flowered varieties. Among them are the amazing rare spider-like Luyona and Spider. The color palette of Indian chrysanthemum is diverse: from yellow and white, pink, red and orange to purple and even green! Here you can see varieties of both modern Dutch selection, which we are used to seeing in cut flowers in our flower shops, and those bred in the 50-60s of the 20th century. These are English and French varieties that will captivate you with the sophistication of their forms. In addition to traditional varieties, you will be pleased with new products with unusual colors and impressive forms: Cosmo White and Juasmara Rose. During the exhibition, the curator of the collection will hold fascinating meetings "Curatorial Hour in the Chrysanthemum Garden", where you can get to know more about the extraordinary diversity and features of the Indian chrysanthemum: assortment, care in winter, agricultural technology at different periods of the chrysanthemum's life, interesting facts. The meetings will be held every day from 14:00 to 14:45. The atmospheric complement to our beautiful flowers will be the exhibition of works in the Sumie technique (a type of monochrome painting similar to watercolor, where black ink and its shades are used, which are obtained by diluting the ink with water), made by students of the Art Studio at the Public Association of Eastern Culture and Traditions "Hagakure".
