Flowers of autumn! Korean Chrysanthemum Exhibition

26.09.2025 - 05.10.2025
From September 26 to October 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invites you to the exhibition "Flowers of Autumn"!

About 100 varieties of Korean chrysanthemum will be presented at the exhibition.

With the beginning of autumn comes the flowering time of the Korean chrysanthemum. The sunny, optimistic hues of chrysanthemums delight us when other plants are already fading.

Currently, chrysanthemum is one of the leading flower and ornamental crops of horticulture, known for about two thousand years and recognized in many countries.

Visitors will be surprised by the diversity of this culture in a wide range of colors and shades from white, yellow, pink, red, orange to purple, and the shape of the inflorescences – from simple "Alyonushka" daisies to thick–crowned "Stranger" heads. The size of the inflorescences of the Korean chrysanthemum will also impress – these are miniature buttons – "Knipe rose", and bright large suns – "Sonechko". It will be possible to see not only centenarians from the chrysanthemum collection, for example, the Pearl variety of the 60s of the last century, as well as new items from the Gompie series of Dutch breeding.

Sunny chrysanthemums will be complemented by other bright autumn flowers: luxurious dahlias, unfading annuals and cereals, and compositions made from natural materials.

The exhibition will be held in the exhibition pavilion (located near the alley of the silver maple).

During the exhibition, meetings will be held with the curator of the collection, where you can get answers to your questions about the care of chrysanthemums.
