11.10.2024 - 13.10.2024 Autumn in the botanical garden is impossible to imagine without the bright colors and sunny shades of Korean chrysanthemum. On October 11, 12, 13 from 10:00 to 17:00, the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invites you to visit the exhibition of Korean chrysanthemum "Legends of Autumn"! Korean chrysanthemum has been known for about two thousand years and has received recognition in many countries. Today, it is one of the leading flower crops of ornamental gardening. The collection of the Central Botanical Garden has about 270 varieties of this crop. About 100 varieties of both foreign and Belarusian selections will be presented at the exhibition. Visitors will see long-livers from the chrysanthemum collection, for example, the "Pearl" variety of the 60s of the last century. All the diversity of this culture in terms of inflorescence shape, flowering time: from simple daisies to double, large and small sizes, various colors and shades (yellow, white, pink, red, orange, purple) you will see when visiting the exhibition. Guests will be surprised by the originality of the varieties "Mirage" and "Wild Honey" with an anemone-shaped inflorescence and the varieties "Firefly" and "Far Eastern" with a pompom-shaped inflorescence. This season, the collection has been replenished with new varieties of large-flowered chrysanthemums - "Big Dipper", "Geese-Swans", "Petal Rain" and "Parisian". Sunny chrysanthemums will be complemented by other bright colors of autumn: luxurious dahlias, unfading annuals and cereals, compositions from natural materials. During the exhibition, visitors will be able to talk to the curator of the collection, Svetlana Vitalievna Tsekhanovich, and ask their questions about the agricultural technology of this crop.
