25.03.2025 - 30.03.2025 The Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invites schoolchildren to spring break. From March 25 to March 30, 2025, we offer organized groups a guided tour of the exhibition greenhouse: Tropics: watching, learning, exploring… Spring has come, the time when nature comes to life and transforms after a long sleep. In the botanical garden, you can see the buds opening on trees and shrubs, and the first flowers appearing. Spring is coming in our latitudes due to two important factors: the days are getting longer and the air temperature is rising. But in the tropics, everything is different! There, each plant has its own time for flowering, for which it has been preparing for months. On the tour "Tropics: we observe, study, explore..." in the Exposition Greenhouse, we will show and tell the children about the flowering plants of the desert areas, Asia and the Mediterranean – azaleas and camellias, and of course about the plants of the tropics that are diverse in color – orchids, anthuriums, etc. The atmosphere of the tropics is complemented by the funny inhabitants of the greenhouse – parrots, colorful koi carp and red-eared turtles.
