Orchids

The composition of the collection fund is 209 taxa, 119 - natural species (from 55 genera) and 90 hybrid forms belonging to the family. Orchids (Orchidaceae).

Areas of research:

  1. introduction and study of the development features of natural orchid species in greenhouse conditions;
  2. obtaining seeds of natural species for propagation in sterile conditions, with subsequent adaptation of plants;
  3. adaptation of orchids obtained by the method of microclonal propagation;
  4. testing new mineral and organic fertilizer complexes on the culture of hybrid orchids, establishing patterns of their influence on the growth and development of plants;
  5. development of substrates for growing individual genera orchids.
  6. study of hybrid forms of orchids for the purpose of introducing them into industrial and amateur floriculture.
